Orlando’s Camping World Stadium is a leading candidate to host the Jacksonville Jaguars for their 2027 NFL season, as the team’s home EverBank Stadium undergoes a $1.4 billion renovation. Orange County has approved up to $11 million in incentives, including $10 million for hosting at least eight regular-season games and an additional $1 million for potential playoff games, to lure the Jaguars to Orlando. The economic impact is estimated at $20 million per game, with projections of 150,000–175,000 visitors boosting local tourism.
The other primary contender is Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, home of the University of Florida Gators. However, Camping World Stadium is considered better suited for NFL games due to its recent hosting of Pro Bowl games and ongoing $400 million renovations, expected to be completed by July 2027. Orlando’s infrastructure, including hotels and a major airport, also gives it an edge over Gainesville.
The Jaguars are expected to submit a recommendation to the NFL within 30–45 days from February 2025, with a final decision anticipated at the NFL owners’ meeting on May 20–21, 2025, requiring 75% approval from the 32 team owners. While Orlando is favored, the team could split games between locations or play up to three games internationally, such as in London. No final decision has been confirmed as of the latest updates
